Introducing Ourselves..... We are part of a global church numbering over 15 million members who share certain common beliefs. Our heritages and belief in a personal God; a personal Saviour, Jesus Christ: the Spirit-directed life; the inspiration of the Bible, link us with most Protestant faiths. God has led us to discover certain distinctive truths that are unique and provide us with our mission. We Believe....... CHRIST: Jesus is the Divine Son of God.God made in the form of man. He is the Eternal Self-Existent One and is NOT a created being. He is fully God. Jesus is the one who created the world in six literal days and rested the seventh day (Hebrews 1:1-3 and Colossians 1:16-18). CROSS: God the Father, in His Son, paid the penalty for man's sins on the Cross of Calvary. ( 2 Corinthians 5:19). Only Jesus, the sinless one, could pay our sin-debt. "The wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23). By believing on Him and accepting the grace of His shed blood we recieve the gift of eternal life. "Not of works,lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:9). COMMANDMENTS: Because we love Jesus for His sacrificial death, we want to obey Him as He commands us in John 14:15. We are not saved by our works or in keeping the 10 Commandments, but because we ARE saved, we choose to keep His commandments as the guide for successful, moral and prosperous living. Tis is the reason we go to church on Saturday, the Bible Sabbath. (Exodus 20:8-11). The 7th Day Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday long after the New Testament record. Sunday keeping came into existence due to the influence of paganism on a compromising church. COMING AGAIN: We are a people who understand Bible prophecy. Prophecy reveals that Jesus is coming again very soon. This is why we call ourselves Adventist. We are a people who are looking forward to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. COMMISSION: Before Jesus Christ left this earth, He gave explicit orders and commands to His disciples and His believer's today. "Go, ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you....." (Matthew 28:19-20). By taking Jesus Christ at His own words, we believe we need to share with our community the great end-time truths of the everlasting Gospel as they are taught in both the Old and New Testaments of God's Holy Word. (2 Timothy 3:16). "Sanctify them by your truth, thy word is truth........"(John 17:17)
